The Academy

Compass Film Academy is a community of filmmakers, artists, students, and teachers seeking to affirm the vocation of art in the Church.

By providing technical, creative, and spiritual formation, we are one of the country’s most unique film schools. You might think what we do is similar to what a seminary does for a priest or a minister: we provide training in the practical matters, formation in the spiritual matters, and we assist you in discerning whether filmmaking is indeed the career for you.

We’re looking for talented, creative artists who are struggling to figure out how to integrate their faith and their filmmaking. Because we are committed to the intense training of a serious few, we accept only 24 students into the program at a time.
